The Library’s Best Friend: Ric Mixter
From record breaking crowds to over 100,000 YouTube visits to library websites, Ric brings stories of maritime and aviation history to library patrons in person and online. Ric also shares a deep passion for libraries with his audiences, noting that none of his research would be possible without local libraries. Mixter has talked at Charlevoix library for over six years in a row, and has records at other Great Lakes libraries for most presentations shared. No one is more enthusiastic or prolific in sharing history as Ric has over 30 shows on PBS, articles in several magazines including Michigan History, over 14 hours of podcasts and over 4 million views for his videos online.
